Wired and Wireless Networks

A network allows you connect many different computers together so you can share resources such as files, printers, media, and many other types of peripherals and network enabled devices.

A wired network is the most stable but involves running wires to every location and cannot be moved easily.

A wireless network is less stable but gives you much more mobility.

The nice part about today?s computer networks is that you can have both wired and wireless at the same time! We can hard-wire specific locations where you know you need a connection, and by adding a wireless card to your laptop, you can access the network anywhere around the house!
